In this context, it is also known that unpleasant odors can occur in the accommodation space caused by used clothing, food residues that remain on the dishes, or by certain foods, which are generally undesirable. Likewise, such unwanted odors from the accommodation space can occur as a result of the objects introduced, in the first place, or be intensified by these if, due to humidity and / or relatively high temperatures, it can happen that the microorganisms are modified or they disintegrate and, coupled with this, such unpleasant odors can occur. In addition, also as a consequence of food waste, oxidation processes can be initiated that can also lead to the corresponding molecules spreading unpleasant odors.

A domestic apparatus according to the invention comprises a frame in which a housing space has been designed. This accommodation space is configured and arranged in such a way that they can be introduced into the objects to be processed by the domestic appliance. An essential idea of the invention is that the domestic apparatus comprises a unit for the compensation of odors as an object component, which is intended for the compensation of unpleasant odors that occur in the housing space, and coupled to the accommodation space . The unit for the compensation of odors comprises a photocatatic material as a material for the compensation of odors. Thanks to this design of the domestic appliance, unpleasant odors can be at least clearly reduced in a simple and comprehensive way. By providing an object and separate unit, the compensation of odors can be carried out more precisely. In addition, additional chemical products are no longer needed to achieve such odor compensation. Thanks to the use of a photocatalyst as a material for odor compensation, odor compensation is greatly facilitated and, in this way, it is possible to clearly reduce the most varied and persistent odors.
Preferably, it is envisioned that the odor compensation unit comprises titanium dioxide as a material for odor compensation.
In particular, the odor compensation unit comprises a titanium dioxide filter. This configuration is particularly advantageous, since a wide odor compensation is carried out through said filter, since these odor generating molecules can be filtered easily and completely. Likewise, the filter is a component that can be easily replaced, so that during the useful life of the domestic appliance, said filter can be replaced several times.
